The only downside is that the headband is not very comfortable, but wearing them over my hat completely removes this problem. A little more padding and this headset would be a 10/10, no question!
As is, these are easily a 9/10 and I HIGHLY recommend them, especially to metal heads! \m/
I got them on sale ($100) and at that price they're a good value.
Sound quality is decent, at the $100 I paid I am happy; however, it does sound a bit 'tinny'. Messing with the EQ on the app can improve quality but it's annoying to try and change it for each different genre of music. If you only listen to one genre then it's not so bad.
Noise cancellation is excellent. Even without the ANC turned on they muffle sound quite a bit. ANC really punches it up and blocks nearly all ambient sound.
Battery life is EXCELLENT so far. No complaints there.
Build quality is nice so far but it's only been a few months. Comfortable and light with durable looking materials. The carry case feels solid as well. The main problem I have with the build is the headband is a bit loose so sometimes at the gym they fall off (i.e during bench press).
Overall I'd recommend these headphones on sale, even at the $150 regular price they're a decent value. If you're looking for gym headphones be warned they do tend to fall off. Don't expect audiophile quality out of them and you'll be happy.
I was taking a leap of faith based on the reviews on amazon. I did go to YouTube for further reviews as I do with all electronics specifically. You get a better clarity of what you will be getting with more objective pros and cons of any product to make your own informed decision.
They do fit comfortably the area for the ear is spacious and I feel no pressure on my ears even after having them on for hours. They are light weight and do not get hot and sweaty like my old over the ear headphones.
For me the sound is clear and the equalizer available through the app helps to adjust to my further liking. I will admit my expectations for sound in extreme highs, lows and base are not as atuned for those who look for that. I consider myself an average person and I did not find the sound muddy at all as some said. Have had very clear calls. Music sounds good for me not muddy or too much base. Good for listening to audio books too.
I have only tried these on the balcony and noise canceling is not complete. You still hear very muted background noise but in anc mode music and voice are heard very clearly despite that. Again I think complete ANC where completely blocking out all outside noise is not necessary for the average person. For $110 this does enough to make me happy.
Took a few tries to get use to buttons on the headphones. Once I did was able to go to anc and transparency mode by just pressing my palm to the right side of headphone. Been easy to pause by just taking the right headphone off the ear. Volume buttons easy to adjust.
One thing I'm waiting to see if it's an ongoing issue is when wearing headphones there are random pauses for a second or two. It continues playing on its own. This only happens sporadically at random more likely a connection issue when other app notifications are coming in. This happens with all Bluetooth devices. Going to see if there is a difference if I turn other notifications off.
For now I'm impressed for spending $110 (got the promo price still good value at reg price of $160)these are a great value headphone with all it features. Not everyone can spend $300+ for the same features. I have spent for more expensive models only to regret that I really did not get my moneys worth.
Bonus with app I have access to ambient sounds for sleep. Rain, camp fire, ocean, birds chirping, chimes, wind and more in any combination.
I wanted headphones with a wide range, clarity and heavy bass - I am no expert in sound, but for the standard user like myself, these are the ones you want!
The pros:
- heavy deep bass and adjustable audio settings via app
- long-lasting and a fast-charging battery
- low sound leakage
- wonderful clarity
- comfortable and adjustable to fit the head nicely
- price beats big-brands and the sound quality is exceptional for the price
The cons:
- the auto-pause feature can be a bit of a pest if you wear one earpiece on-ear and one off to the side. This feature works correctly when the headphones are worn as intended
- the sound quality reduces significantly when plugged in with the supplied headphone cord
These cons are not a big issue as the headphones charge quickly so you won't have to deal with reduced quality from the cord for very long. Additionally, if the headphones are worn correctly, the auto-pause feature works great.
Transparency mode is a neat concept, but it feels a bit impersonal for maintaining a conversation hence why I wear the headphones offset. I find transparency mode is helpful for walking safety. Due to it having equal pros and cons, transparency is on neither list. It is helpful in cases, but it lacks in some areas as well.
Overall, these headphones are excellent and are highly recommended.

The sound quality is fantastic. I've noticed some reviews mentioning the loud bass. The default EQ is indeed quite bass heavy but the Soundcore app features a large selection of EQ presets as well as custom capability. After some browsing and tinkering I created a custom EQ that sounds exactly right, with some of the sub bass rolled off and 100-200 Hz boosted for some good punch. The thing is the Q35s are capable of reproducing bass at many different frequencies, instead of just that generic muddy boom bass that you hear in Beats or cheap brands. The key is to find an EQ that balances those bass frequencies to your liking. Beyond that the mids have wonderful presence and an immersive soundstage. They remain wonderfully distinct from the bass frequencies. Treble is clear and detailed without fatiguing the ears. The high frequencies are pushed behind the mids to create the perfect balance of clarity and softness. I think Boss does this slightly better but Boss doesn't feature LDAC as a Bluetooth option. When LDAC is engaged on the Q35s the sound is hard to believe for wireless.
I don't take my Q35s out of my apartment but for inside use the ANC works perfect. The hum of my swamp cooler, fans, or any low ambient sound is almost totally muted. I've heard the ANC falls short when used out in public and that the Sony WH-1000s are better. That wouldn't surprise me, they're nearly three times the price of the Q35s. But for normal indoor use the ANC is great.
Battery life is insane. I charge them a few times a week (I'm neurotic about having full charged batteries, total OCD) but everything I do they're already at 70-80%. I basically top them off every couple days for an hour or so and literally never worry about running out of battery. I could be lost in the woods for a week and these things would last the whole time, probably outlive me. The build quality is awesome too. I'm not worried about these things snapping or cracking and the lack of a cord means I also don't have to worry about snagging the cord on a doorknob and having them violently hurled across the room right before the best part of the song hits. That was the absolute worst.
If you're phone supports LDAC I can't recommend these enough, some of the best money I've ever spent.
